Steve Watts
Founder
In 2008, Steve founded Smart Business Consultants with the sole purpose of aiding property managers become more efficient and compliant in their day-to-day accounting activities. Working across multiple software platforms, Steve has become a recognized and trusted expert in the industry.
Steve lives in rural Wisconsin along the river bluffs of the mighty Mississippi with his beautiful wife Kim and their beloved red lab Major. Steve and Kim enjoy travel, boating, hiking, restaurants and golf- not necessarily in that order. With five adult children, spouses, significant others and lots of extended family, life is good!
Misty Delarosa
Consultant
Misty Delarosa has almost twenty years of real estate accounting experience. Her career has spanned many areas including private investment, development, construction, military housing, and multi-family. This has resulted in vast experience with numerous accounting software and subsequent user training.
Since joining Smart Business Consultants in 2015, Misty has used her expertise to help clients with their trust accounting, software migrations, and streamlining process improvements. She prides herself on empowering small business owners and their staff by building confidence in their accounting.
Misty graduated from Texas A&M University with a Masters in Real Estate Finance. She resides in Katy, Texas where she enjoys reading, taking her dogs on adventures, and soaking up any time she can with her teenage son.
Jessica Minor
Consultant
Jessica Minor has 20 years of experience in the field of accounting and has been with Smart Business Consultants since 2018. Her specialties include tax reporting and compliance, corporate accounting, and financial reviews.
Jessica has three sons and lives in Indianapolis with her husband Scott, youngest son Liam, and their two dogs Bently and Miyagi. In their spare time, Jessica and her family enjoy hiking and visiting local state parks, traveling and experiencing new places, and working on various art projects.
